Because of Musashi..
“Study in Japan !” this sentence remains in my mind since I was a high school student. It begun when I read “Musashi”, an intriguing book of a samurai legend from Japan, written by Eiji Yoshikawa (I like reading various kinds of books). The positive spirits of the Japanese in the book gave me the eagerness to learn the spirits directly from “the samurai country”, Japan. I believe that this remarkable spirits had led Japan to achieve its national development after World War II. I spent my time in high school and university by keeping this dream in my mind until finally I manage to get the valuable opportunity to study in Japan. Yokatta, I am in Japan now!

Well, my name is Cahyo Budiman, an international student of Frontier Biotechnology Osaka University, from Indonesia. I graduated from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in 2004, majoring in animal food science and technology. In Osaka University, I work in protein-related area, specifically in Functional and Structural Studies of Psychotropic FKBP22 under the kind and great supervision of Prof. Shigenori Kanaya. The greatest appeal of studying in Osaka University, as one of world class -university, is its academic environment where I can study state-of-the-art technology. I highly believe that studying in Japan will brings me a lot of beneficial experiences for my future career as a researcher.
