STUDENT VOICE
TITA FOOPHOW

Someone said that “Whenwe wake up in the morning, we have two simple choices. Go back to sleep and dream, or wake up and chase those dreams”. I also have a dream and hope it to become real.

My name is Tita Foophow and I come from Thailand . I am currently a first year Ph.D. student at Osaka University in the Department of Material and Life Science under the Laboratory of Molecular Biotechnology of Prof. Shigenori Kanaya. My project topic is “Overproduction, Purification, and Characterization of the Second Subtilisin Homologue from Hyperthermophilic Archaeon, Thermococcus kodakaraensis”.

Five years ago, I came to sightseeing in Japan with my family. On that time, I gained a good experience about Japanese traditional culture, which is integrated with the modern science and technology. I hope that I will come back for study in the field of science and technology and learn about life and culture in Japan. Three years later, I have received the grate opportunity from Monbukagakusho scholarship, which makes my dream to become true.
