STUDENT VOICE
SASTIA PRAMA PUTRI

I am Sastia Prama Putri, an international student from Jakarta, Indonesia. After my graduation from Department of Biology, Bandung Institute of Technology, I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to join UNESCO Training Course in Biotechnology and that is how I first set my foot in Japan. Upon completion of the program, I decided without hesitation that I want to continue my graduate studies here.

The main reason for that was because I realized that the laboratory skill and know-how alone would not be sufficient to lead the path to a success goal. My experience have taught me that most contributing part initially comes from how well you can interact with other people, and how good you can maintain it along the process. Studying in Osaka University definitely has all the aspect required by someone to gain all of the things mentioned above. In addition to that, Japan offers a lot to satisfy my passion for travelling, learning new culture and meeting new people.

My research work is focused on the utilization of entomopathogenic fungi as bio-resources of novel bioactive compounds. By obtaining a PhD degree from Osaka University under the supervision of Prof. Nihira and mastering the social aspect I believe I will possess better qualifications and improved skill to advance further in my career.
