Dear All,

We will have a luncheon seminar by Associate Prof. Yusuke Yamada on November 16, 2009.
The seminar will start at 12:10 in a meeting room (# 303) on 3F of the GSE Common MIDDLE (U1M) building (Kanri-toh).
Title and abstract of his lecture are shown below,

  • Title: Catalysis development of shape-controlled nanoparticles for energy and environmental issues
  • Abstract: Emergence of a novel heterogeneous catalyst is expected to solve the problems of energy and environmental issues, which we should address seriously. Shape controlled nano-particles are regarded as a new class of catalysts where we can expect high activity and selectivity because of their atomically regulated surfaces. In this lecture, synthesis, assembly preparation and catalysis development of shape-controlled nanoparticles will be disclosed.

Nishizawa and Suenobu
